The caliper carrier is the machined bracket that mounts the brake caliper to the upright, positioning it correctly over the rotor at each corner of the car. It's a structural part of the braking system — the caliper bolts to the carrier, and the carrier bolts to the upright, holding the caliper in precise alignment with the 274mm floating disc.
This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard on the Rush SR. If you're replacing an upright or rebuilding a corner after damage, the caliper carrier should be inspected and replaced if there's any sign of cracking, deformation, or stripped threads.
