Chain Tensioner

Price: $27.49 (In Stock)

Double-female adapter for adjusting chain tension by moving differential position. Screw in/out to reposition differential and adjust sprocket distance. Two required. OEM replacement part.

Double-female adapter that adjusts chain tension by moving the differential assembly. Screw the tensioner inward or outward to reposition the differential, which moves the rear sprocket and effectively changes chain tension.

The Rush SR uses a chain-driven final drive system (not a belt). The chain connects the engine sprocket to the differential sprocket, transferring power to the rear wheels. Proper chain tension is critical—too loose causes chain slap and potential derailment, too tight increases wear and reduces power transfer efficiency.

Two chain tensioners are used (one on each side) to adjust the differential position. By threading the tensioners in or out, you move the entire differential assembly forward or backward, which changes the distance between the engine sprocket and differential sprocket, adjusting chain tension. Check and adjust chain tension regularly as part of routine maintenance.

This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard with the Rush SR. Sold individually.
