Differential Housing

Protective housing (also called differential case) that encloses the differential gears and limited-slip differential (LSD) assembly in the Rush SR drivetrain. The housing provides the mounting structure for the differential internals and maintains proper gear alignment while protecting the components from contamination and damage.

The differential housing contains the ring gear, pinion gear, differential carrier, and LSD components. The housing must be rigid enough to maintain gear alignment under the loads generated during acceleration, cornering, and braking, while also providing adequate heat dissipation.

The Rush SR uses a chain-driven final drive system. The differential housing mounts to the chassis and provides attachment points for the half shafts (CV axles) that transfer power to the rear wheels. The rear sprocket mounts to the differential housing. Final drive ratio is changed by swapping the front sprocket on the engine output—the differential housing itself doesn't change.

The housing also contains the differential oil that lubricates and cools the internal components. Check differential oil level regularly and change according to the maintenance schedule.

This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard with the Rush SR.
