Exhaust Silencer

Exhaust silencer for Rush SR. This muffler reduces exhaust noise to meet track sound limits while maintaining adequate exhaust flow.

The silencer mounts in the exhaust system and uses internal baffles or packing material to attenuate sound. Many race tracks enforce strict noise limits (typically 103-108 dB depending on venue), and the silencer ensures the Rush SR stays within these limits. The design balances noise reduction with minimal restriction - excessive backpressure would reduce engine power.

Silencer packing material degrades over time from heat and exhaust gases, gradually losing effectiveness. Teams should monitor sound levels and repack or replace silencers when noise levels increase. Some tracks have specific measurement procedures, so it's wise to have margin below the limit.
