O-Ring, 2.5 mm Wide, 16 mm ID Buna-N

Buna-N o-ring for Rush SR steering system. This 16mm inner diameter o-ring with 2.5mm cross-section seals rotating joints in the steering column and steering rack assembly.

Buna-N (nitrile rubber) provides good resistance to oils and hydraulic fluids while maintaining elasticity across the temperature ranges encountered in racing. The o-ring creates a seal between moving components, preventing dirt and moisture ingress into the steering bearings while allowing smooth rotation.

O-rings should be inspected during steering system service and replaced if showing signs of wear, cracking, or compression set. Damaged o-rings can allow contamination into steering bearings, causing binding or accelerated wear. A light coating of grease helps o-ring installation and extends service life.
