Steering Rack Adjuster

Adjuster for the Rush SR steering rack. This threaded component sets the preload on the rack internals, controlling the amount of free play in the steering.

The rack adjuster threads into the rack body and presses against the rack tensioner and spring assembly. Turning the adjuster in or out changes the preload. A jam nut locks the adjustment in place. Proper adjustment provides a balance between smooth steering feel and minimal free play.

Rack adjustment should be checked during steering service. Over-tightening causes heavy steering; under-tightening allows excessive play.

This is an OEM replacement part used in steering rack maintenance and rebuilds.
