Starter Relay

Price: $133.98 (Out of Stock)

High-current relay controlling power to starter motor. Activates when starter button is pressed (with switches on). Can start in gear with clutch in. OEM replacement part.

High-current relay that controls power to the starter motor on the Rush SR. When you press the starter button (with the master switch, run switch, and fuel switch on), the starter relay closes and sends battery power to the starter motor, cranking the engine.

The starter relay handles the high current draw required by the starter motor (typically 50-100+ amps), protecting the starter button and wiring from excessive current. The relay receives a low-current signal from the starter button circuit and uses an internal solenoid to close high-current contacts, sending power to the starter motor.

Thanks to the clutch switch, the car can now be started in gear with the clutch pedal depressed. The clutch switch prevents the starter from engaging unless the clutch is in, providing a safety feature that allows starting in gear while preventing accidental starts.

If the engine doesn't crank when you press the starter button, check the starter relay for proper operation. Common issues include relay failure, loose connections, or problems with the clutch switch preventing the relay from activating.

This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard with the Rush SR.
