Steering Rack Pinion Bushing

Pinion bushing for the Rush SR steering rack. This bushing supports the pinion shaft where it enters the rack housing, providing a bearing surface for the rotating pinion gear.

The pinion bushing is a wear item that sees constant rotational load as the steering wheel is turned. Worn bushings cause increased play between the steering wheel and rack movement, resulting in vague steering feel or dead spots in the steering.

Bushings should be inspected during steering rack service and replaced if they show excessive wear. The bushing is typically replaced along with other internal components during a full rack rebuild.
