Steering Rack

The complete manual rack-and-pinion steering assembly for the Rush SR. This is the OEM unit that comes standard on the car — no power assist, direct feel, and straightforward to service. The rack converts steering wheel input into precise lateral movement at the front wheels through the engagement of the rack shaft and pinion gear inside the main housing.

Individual components — including the rack shaft, pinion, upper and lower mounts, tensioner, adjuster, wiper seals, sleeve bearing, and pinion bushing — are available separately for targeted repairs. If you're only replacing worn internals, check the individual rack components before replacing the full assembly. If the housing itself is damaged or the rack is beyond serviceable condition, this is the complete replacement.

Per the Rush SR maintenance schedule, the steering rack should be greased each season and rebuilt approximately every 160 hours of runtime. Rack preload can be adjusted using the rack adjuster and jam nut to dial in steering feel.
