Wheel Speed Mimic

Required electronic device for drive-by-wire (DBW) Rush SR cars that generates simulated wheel speed signals for the Suzuki ECU. The wheel speed mimic prevents the engine from entering limp mode when wheel speed sensors are not present.

As of the 2026 season, no spec cars have wheel speed sensors. The wheel speed mimic calculates speed based on other vehicle parameters (such as engine RPM and gear selection) and outputs a standardized wheel speed signal that the ECU requires. Without this device, the ECU will detect missing wheel speed sensors and put the engine into limp mode, severely limiting performance.

The wheel speed mimic also provides speed data to the AiM dash and data logging systems for lap timing and telemetry analysis. This is a required component for DBW cars—the engine will not operate properly without it.

This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard with the Rush SR. If you're experiencing limp mode or engine performance issues on a DBW car, check the wheel speed mimic connections and wiring.
