Rack Gear

The Rack Gear is an OEM replacement component for the Rush SR's manual rack and pinion steering system. It is the toothed gear that engages with the rack shaft inside the rack housing, converting steering wheel rotation into the linear motion that moves the front wheels. When this gear shows wear—typically felt as play, imprecise steering response, or grinding through the wheel—replacement restores correct engagement and steering feel.

This is a direct replacement for the rack assembly already fitted to your Rush SR. No modifications are required. Related components include the Rack Shaft, Rack Pinion Bushing, and Rack Tensioner. The maintenance schedule recommends a full steering rack rebuild every four years or approximately 160 hours of runtime.
