Shift Cylinder

Pneumatic actuator that moves the shift arm to rotate the transmission shift drum for clutchless gear changes. The shift cylinder extends or retracts when compressed air is released from the valve block, pushing or pulling on the shift arm to engage the next gear.

When you activate a paddle shifter, the valve block releases a measured burst of compressed air to the shift cylinder. The cylinder's linear motion rotates the shift arm, which turns the transmission shift drum to select the next gear. The cylinder mounts to the engine case via the shift cylinder mounting base and connects to the shift arm.

This is an OEM replacement part that comes standard with the Rush SR air shifter system. If you're experiencing missed shifts or slow shift response, check the shift cylinder for leaks or damage.
